To Whom It May Concern,
I hope this application finds you well.
Since I was a young woman I have respected the work of both the brand and individual that is Ralph Lauren, and so it is with my most sincere intent that I express my interest in the position of Architecture and Design Manager based in Madrid.
For the last 8 years I have worked in several countries on a variety of building typologies. Pursuing these opportunities has taught me many skills. During my time working in entertainment architecture, I developed advanced technical skills across BIM and CAD platforms, working in high pressure situations while collaborating with teams from offices and disciplines all over the world with the same intention- to bring creative visions to life, and to bring people together. Understanding the importance of differentiating environments was a critical component working at such a large scale, but the relevance of this knowledge is transferrable to any prospect.
As I progressed professionally, I took on supervisory and coordination roles globally. My ability to speak English, German, AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) fluently with a solid comprehension of the Spanish language assisted me on a professional and interpersonal basis. While living in Sydney, the necessity to diversify my experience became a priority for me and led me to explore clinical, residential, education architecture and most recently- retail design in Mexico.
I have always had an vested interest in fashion and retail and in the last two years, have additionally worked as a creative director, stylist, model and in company branding for fashion labels abroad. Understanding the industry in this way proved significantly beneficial when I transitioned to freelance employment, procuring my initial project as the sole practitioner on a fully demountable retail fit out. The intrinsic relationship between architecture and fashion became even clearer during this project.
As a designer, one needs to identify and differentiate the parallaxes that are inherently formed through creation. As a design professional, one needs to utilize these differences.
The ideal outcome occurs when an individual is able to intuitively envision their own story through a designed experience.
On a micro scale, there is ergonomic and sensory codependence. This facilitates an elevated customer experience and connection with the company branding. On a macro scale, they both serve as a visual timeline of history. This is one of the reasons I would like to work for Ralph Lauren- because Ralph Lauren is timeless. As an architect, we are able to create experience through the built environment. Fashion is self-expression, idealism and one of the few ways in this world where the individual is able to dictate how the world sees them. When married correctly, they work cohesively and architecture becomes the backdrop for the individual.
Please explore my portfolio, as I have the passion, technical skills and what it takes to fulfil this role. If I am what you are looking for, I am an EU Citizen (with right to work) and while I am currently in Australia I am able to relocate as required according your needs.
